Pribbs Steel & Mfg (http://www.pribbs.com/history.htm) is actively recruiting a Safety Officer/Manager for their plant located 7 miles west of Grand Forks on US Hwy 2.

Position Summary: The Safety Manager is responsible for the continual safety of all employees.This includes, but not limited to:
 

• Superior knowledge of 29 CFR 1910
• Ability to discern hazards
• Abatement of hazards
• PPE
• Safety training for employees
• Hearing conservation program
• Respiratory protection
• Responding to OSHA citations
• Accident/incident investigation
• Lock/out-tag/out safety
• MSDS control
• Facilitate monthly Safety Committee meetings
• Basic first aid & CPR
• Maintain OSHA 300 Log
• Reasonable suspicion & quarterly random drug testing
• Interact with WSI on work related injuries
• Track injury trends
• Develop & Enforce Safety Policy & Procedures
• Fire Protection
• Emergency Action Plan
• Injury Prevention Plan

Essential Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field
• 5 years experience
• Comprehensive knowledge of 29 CFR 1910
• Good verbal and written communications
• Honest with a high level of integrity
• Must pay special attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information
